Technical area
The present invention relates to the field of watchmaking. It relates, more particularly, to a timepiece movement comprising a plurality of barrels arranged in pairs in parallel in order to deliver a balanced engine torque to a train for the finishing of a timepiece movement.
State of the art
It is known to use a plurality of associated barrels in series or in parallel to form a timepiece motor capable of delivering a large motor torque and / or a large power reserve to power a timepiece movement, in particular when the latter has one or more complications.
This type of engine is not without its drawbacks, however. In particular, the total cumulative torque of the two barrels is delivered directly to the gear train of the timepiece movement, which requires an appropriate dimensioning of the mobiles, in particular of average, and their axes to support the imposed load, or to provide at least an intermediate gear train to reduce the mechanical load imposed on the moving parts of the finishing train. It should also be ensured, if necessary, that the torque delivered by each barrel is uniformly distributed to the downstream cogs, in particular the finishing cog, which sometimes requires the implementation of more or less complex differential mechanisms themselves .
Disclosure of invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a timepiece movement comprising a plurality of motor sources, in particular barrels, which does not have the drawbacks of movements equipped with multiple barrels known from the prior art.
The invention aims in particular to provide a timepiece movement with multiple motor sources making it possible to deliver a high torque in a homogeneous manner on a gear train.
To this end, the present invention provides a watch movement as defined in claim 1. This watch movement thus comprises at least two barrels arranged in parallel, each barrel comprising a mainspring housed in a barrel cage and integral in a first end of a barrel shaft movable in rotation relative to the barrel cage in the center thereof, said cage having a peripheral toothing. It is characterized by the fact that each barrel is coupled by an identical gear train on a single second mobile.
There is thus provided a balanced parallel distribution of engine torque on the second wheel of the gear train, with a simple and compact structure, the gear wheels of which do not require any particular dimensioning with respect to a movement with a single power source. .
Brief description of the drawings
Other details of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the description which follows, made with reference to the appended drawing representing in perspective a timepiece movement according to the invention in a preferred embodiment.
Embodiment of the invention
The single figure shows in perspective the characteristic elements of construction of a watch movement 10 according to the present invention.
This movement 10 is characterized in the example presented by the presence of a plurality of motor sources constituted by barrels, in this case four barrels 31, 32, 33, 34 arranged in pairs P1, P2 symmetrically on a platinum 20. The invention is not however limited to a movement with four barrels as shown in the figure.
Barrels 31, 32, 33, 34 are advantageously identical and thus have an identical power, for example of the order of 450 g each. Each barrel 31, 32, 33, 34 conventionally comprises a mainspring housed in a barrel cage and secured at one end of a barrel shaft movable in rotation relative to the barrel cage at the center thereof. . The barrel cage has a peripheral toothing for distributing the mechanical energy accumulated by the spring after the latter has been wound up by means of a winding member 80 such as a winding stem and crown and / or an oscillating weight and a detailed winding train thereafter.
According to the invention, said pairs P1, P2 of barrels are each coupled symmetrically by an identical cog composed for the pair P1 of a high average pinion 60 and a mobile of average 61 and for the pair P2 a large medium gear 60 ́ and a medium mobile 61 ́ on a single second mobile 70.
The four barrels 31, 32, 33, 34 mounted in this way, allow to bring in parallel a large torque, here 900g per pair, on the mobile seconds 70 while sparing the cogs upstream, which does support only half of the total torque corresponding to the torque delivered by each pair of barrels. It is thus possible to keep the dimensioning of mobiles 60, 61, 60 ́, 61 ́ of the gear train usually employed in movements with one or two barrels while the total torque delivered to the second mobile 70 is four times the nominal torque of each barrel. In addition, we are freed from any differential distribution mechanism by ensuring a homogeneous and balanced torque distribution by construction on the second 70's mobile.
Advantageously, each cog consisting of a large average gear 60, 60 ́ and a medium mobile 61, 61 ́ forms a finishing half-gear meshing with the teeth of the barrels 31, 32; 33, 34 of each pair of barrels P1, P2 and a second pinion secured to the single second mobile 70 on the other hand.
In addition, the watch movement 10 includes a winding train consisting of a primary winding train and two secondary winding trains. The primary winding train comprises a winding pinion 50 coupled to the winding member 80 by any suitable means. This winding pinion 50 distributes the winding torque simultaneously and symmetrically to a first barrel 31, 33 of each of the pairs P1, P2 of barrels by a primary gear train 51, 52 on a ratchet 41 secured to the barrel shaft 31 for the pair P1 and a primary gear train 51 ́, 52 ́ on a ratchet 43 secured to the barrel shaft 33 for the pair P2.
The barrel shafts of each pair are also coupled together in pairs by a secondary winding train. Thus, for the pair P1, the ratchet 41 meshes with the ratchet 42 of the second barrel 32 of the pair by a gear train 53, 54, 55. In an identical and symmetrical manner, for the pair P2, the ratchet 43 meshes with the ratchet 44 of the second barrel 34 of the pair by a gear train 53 ́, 54 ́, 55 ́.
This ensures by its primary and secondary winding cogs a simultaneous reassembly of all the barrels 31, 32, 33, 34 of each pair P1, P2 during an action on the winding member 80.
Although the timepiece movement 10 of the invention is shown with four barrels in the single appended figure, the invention is however not limited to a configuration so "complex" but applies analogously to configurations more classic movements with two barrels mounted in parallel. In practice in such a case with two driving sources in parallel, each source is then coupled by an identical train on the single second mobile 70, preferably symmetrically with respect to the second mobile. Each symmetrical cog forms a half-cog of finishing meshing with the teeth of the barrels and can, as in the example shown, consist of a pinion of large average 60, 60 ́ and a mobile of medium 61, 61 ́.
In the configuration with four barrels 31, 32, 33, 34 shown as in a simplified configuration with two barrels in parallel, the movement of the invention allows a balanced and compact flat arrangement of the barrels and cogs, which makes it possible to do not create a significant excess thickness of the movement while providing a structural balance and distribution of engine torque to the gear train regardless of the total torque provided by the multiple drive sources.
